Wanting to work with bestselling author and philanthropist, Monyetta Shaw since the beginning of his career Ressie finally got the opportunity. Ressie was called to have a very intense but professional meeting with critic acclaimed photographer Drexina Nelson to talk about am opportunity like no other. “A task that seemed impossible”, said Nelson but a small one to Ressie turned out to be a piece of cake. With only 72 hours until the shoot, at the ninth hour he was asked to style four looks for two national publications thus putting Ressie alongside a very select group of published and successful fashion stylist in the United States. With a long list of vendors in his rolodex Ressie put together six photographed looks and chosen from those were three looks that were published in Hyper Hair Magazine and Today’s Black Woman Magazine. By collaborating with her personal stylist, Ressie dressed her in custom Rolliford Hall, designers such as Avanh , Lena Danielle, and pieces from Gregory’s. Shoes from designers Jimmy Choo, Christian Louboutin, and accessories from Lara Bohinc and Harry Winston. From raising large sums in the Atlanta community to the screens of VH1, Monyetta Shaw defiantly was a honor to style and Ressie G.
